Adding Keywords

Keywords are the foundation of your content strategy. Each keyword you add becomes a scheduled article in your calendar.

Opening the Keyword Modal

Click the Add Keywords button in the top right of the Content Calendar page. This opens a modal where you can add one or multiple keywords at once.

Adding Keywords

Single Keywords

Type a keyword in the input field and press Enter or click Add. The keyword is added to your list immediately.

Multiple Keywords

To add several keywords at once:

  1. Type or paste keywords separated by line breaks
  2. Each line becomes a separate keyword
  3. Click Add to add all keywords

This is useful when you have a prepared list from your own research or another tool.

Bulk Import

For larger imports, you can paste content directly from spreadsheets or text files. Each line is treated as a separate keyword.

Available Slots

The modal shows how many available slots you have in the next 60 days. Available slots are dates without a scheduled keyword.

If you add more keywords than available slots, they'll be distributed across the remaining open dates within your planning window.

Automatic Distribution

When you add keywords, Lovarank automatically:

  • Assigns each keyword to the next available date
  • Skips dates that already have scheduled content
  • Distributes keywords evenly across your calendar

You can always drag keywords to different dates after they're added.

Keyword Best Practices

Be Specific

Longer, more specific keywords (long-tail keywords) often produce better articles because the search intent is clearer. For example:

  • ❌ "marketing" — Too broad
  • ✅ "email marketing for small businesses" — Specific and actionable

Match Your Expertise

Add keywords related to topics you know well. Your expertise helps you evaluate the generated content and add valuable insights.

Cover the Customer Journey

Include keywords for different stages:

  • Awareness — "what is [topic]", "how does [solution] work"
  • Consideration — "best [product type]", "[solution] vs [alternative]"
  • Decision — "[product] review", "[product] pricing"

Consider Search Intent

Think about what someone searching this keyword wants to find:

  • Informational — Looking to learn something
  • Transactional — Ready to take action
  • Navigational — Looking for a specific page or site

Articles that match search intent rank better and satisfy readers.

After Adding Keywords

Once keywords are in your calendar:

  1. Review placement — Drag keywords to optimal dates if needed
  2. Configure settings — Set article type and length for each keyword
  3. Generate content — Click Generate when the scheduled date arrives
