Shopify Integration

Publish SEO-optimized blog posts directly to your Shopify store. Drive organic traffic that converts to sales.

What You'll Need

  • A Shopify store with an active plan
  • Owner or staff account with blog access
  • At least one blog created in Shopify

Setting Up the Integration

Step 1: Add Shopify Integration

  1. Navigate to Integrations in the Lovarank sidebar
  2. Click Create Integration
  3. Select Shopify from the options

Step 2: Connect Your Store

  1. Enter your Shopify store URL (e.g., yourstore.myshopify.com)
  2. Click Connect
  3. You'll be redirected to Shopify to authorize the app
  4. Click Install to grant Lovarank access

Step 3: Configure Defaults

After connecting:

  1. Select your default blog for publishing
  2. Choose the default author (optional)
  3. Save your configuration

Creating a Blog in Shopify

If you don't have a blog set up:

  1. In Shopify Admin, go to Online Store → Blog Posts
  2. Click Manage blogs
  3. Click Add blog
  4. Enter a title (e.g., "Blog" or "News")
  5. Click Save

Your blog is now ready to receive articles from Lovarank.

Publishing to Shopify

Once connected:

  1. Open any generated article in Lovarank
  2. Scroll to the Integrations section
  3. Find your Shopify integration
  4. Click Publish

Choose your options:

  • Blog — Select which blog to publish to (if you have multiple)
  • Visibility — Visible (public) or Hidden (private)

SEO in Shopify

Shopify's built-in SEO fields are automatically populated:

  • Page Title — Uses your article title
  • Meta Description — Uses the generated meta description
  • URL Handle — Uses the article slug

For best results, ensure your Shopify theme properly displays blog SEO metadata.

Updating Published Articles

To update a live post:

  1. Edit the article in Lovarank
  2. Save your changes
  3. Click Republish on the Shopify integration

Changes sync to your Shopify blog automatically. The URL and original publish date are preserved.

Troubleshooting

Connection Failed

  • Verify your store URL is correct (use yourstore.myshopify.com format)
  • Ensure you have owner or appropriate staff permissions
  • Check your Shopify plan includes the blogging feature

Publishing Failed

  • Verify you have a blog created in Shopify
  • Check your staff account has blog publishing permissions
  • Ensure you're not exceeding any Shopify limits

Images Not Displaying

  • Check your Shopify theme's blog template supports featured images
  • Ensure images meet Shopify's size requirements
  • Verify the image format is supported

Posts Not Appearing

  • Check if posts are set to "Hidden" visibility
  • Look in the correct blog if you have multiple
  • Ensure your theme displays blog posts correctly

Can I publish to multiple blogs? Yes. When publishing, select which blog the article should go to.

Does this work with all Shopify themes? Yes, but display varies by theme. Ensure your theme has a blog template.

Can I schedule posts? Yes. Choose a future publish date when publishing from Lovarank.
