Publishing Articles
Publishing sends your article directly to your connected website with all content, formatting, images, and SEO metadata intact.
Prerequisites
Before publishing, ensure you have:
- A connected integration — WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, or Ghost
- Field mapping configured — Your CMS fields mapped to Lovarank fields
- A generated article — Content must be created before publishing
How to Publish
From the Article View
- Open your article from Content History
- Scroll to the Integrations section
- Find your target platform
- Click Publish
Publish Options
Depending on your integration settings, you can:
- Publish immediately — Article goes live right away
- Save as draft — Creates the post but doesn't make it public
Publishing to Multiple Platforms
If you have multiple integrations connected:
- Each integration appears separately in the Integrations panel
- Click Publish on each platform where you want the article
- Each platform receives its own copy
This is useful if you maintain blogs on multiple platforms or want to syndicate content.
What Gets Published
When you publish, Lovarank sends:
| Element | Where It Goes |
|---|---|
| Title | Post title field |
| Content | Main content/body field (with HTML formatting) |
| Featured Image | Cover/featured image field |
| Meta Description | SEO description field |
| Slug | URL/permalink field |
Exact field mapping depends on your CMS and how you've configured the integration.
After Publishing
View Published Article
Click the external link icon next to a published integration to open your live article in a new tab.
Republishing Updates
If you edit an article after publishing:
- Make your changes in the editor
- Save the changes
- Click Republish on your integration
- Updates push to your live article
The URL stays the same—only the content updates.
Publication Status
The Integrations panel shows:
- Not yet published — Article hasn't been sent to this platform
- Last published [date] — When the article was last pushed
Troubleshooting Publishing
"No Integrations" Message
You need to connect at least one platform:
- Go to Integrations in the sidebar
- Click Create Integration
- Follow the setup steps for your platform
Publishing Failed
Common causes:
- Connection expired — Reconnect your integration in settings
- Permission issues — Verify you have publishing rights on your CMS
- Field mapping incomplete — Check that all required fields are mapped
- CMS limits reached — Your platform may have item limits
Images Not Appearing
If images are missing or broken:
- Verify your integration maps the image field
- Check your CMS accepts the image format
- Try re-uploading images directly to your CMS
- Ensure images are under your platform's size limits
Formatting Issues
If content looks wrong on your site:
- Check your CMS theme's styling for blog posts
- For Webflow: Add table CSS if tables appear unstyled
- Verify your content field is set to "Rich Text" type
Platform-Specific Notes
WordPress
Articles publish to your Posts with the category you specified during setup. SEO metadata works with Yoast, Rank Math, and other SEO plugins.
Webflow
Content publishes to your specified CMS Collection. You may need to manually publish your Webflow site for changes to go live.
Shopify
Articles go to your selected blog within Shopify. Make sure you have a blog created before publishing.
Framer
Framer requires syncing from within Framer itself. Content appears in your CMS collection, then sync using the Lovarank plugin in Framer.
Ghost
Articles publish directly to your Ghost blog with full formatting and images.
Changes made directly in your CMS won't sync back to Lovarank. For consistency, always edit in Lovarank and use Republish to push updates.
