Ghost Integration

Publish SEO-optimized articles directly to your Ghost blog. Full formatting, images, and SEO metadata sync automatically.

What You'll Need

• A Ghost blog (self-hosted or Ghost Pro)
• Admin access to your Ghost site
• An Admin API key from Ghost

Setting Up the Integration

Step 1: Add Ghost Integration

1. Navigate to Integrations in the Lovarank sidebar
2. Click Create Integration
3. Select Ghost from the options

Step 2: Get Your Ghost API Credentials

1. Log into your Ghost admin panel
2. Go to Settings → Integrations
3. Click Add custom integration
4. Name it "Lovarank" (or any name you prefer)
5. Copy the Admin API Key
6. Copy your API URL (usually your Ghost site URL)

Step 3: Connect in Lovarank

1. Enter your Ghost API URL
2. Paste your Admin API Key
3. Click Test Connection to verify
4. Click Create Integration to save

Publishing to Ghost

Once connected:

1. Open any generated article in Lovarank
2. Scroll to the Integrations section
3. Find your Ghost integration
4. Click Publish

Choose your publish options:

• Publish Immediately — Post goes live right away
• Save as Draft — Creates a draft in Ghost for review

Content Mapping

Lovarank automatically maps to Ghost fields:

SEO in Ghost

Ghost has built-in SEO features that Lovarank populates:

• Meta Title — Uses your article title
• Meta Description — Uses the generated description
• URL — Uses the article slug
• Open Graph — Automatically uses your featured image

Updating Published Articles

To update a live post:

1. Edit the article in Lovarank
2. Save your changes
3. Click Republish on the Ghost integration

Changes push to your Ghost blog immediately. The URL is preserved.

Managing Posts

Posts published from Lovarank appear in your Ghost admin like any other post. You can:

• Edit them further in Ghost
• Change visibility settings
• Add or remove tags
• Schedule for future publication

Note: Changes made in Ghost won't sync back to Lovarank.

Troubleshooting

Connection Failed

• Verify your API URL is correct (include https://)
• Check your Admin API Key is copied correctly
• Ensure your Ghost site is accessible

"Invalid API Key" Error

• Regenerate the API key in Ghost
• Make sure you're using the Admin API Key (not Content API Key)
• Copy the full key without extra spaces

Publishing Failed

• Verify the integration is still connected
• Check your Ghost site is online
• Ensure you have permission to create posts

Images Not Displaying

• Check your Ghost site's image storage settings
• Verify images meet Ghost's requirements
• Ensure your Ghost theme displays featured images

Formatting Issues

• Ghost supports full HTML, so formatting should transfer correctly
• If issues occur, check your Ghost theme's post styling
• Tables may need custom CSS in some themes
