WordPress Integration
Connect your self-hosted WordPress site to Lovarank and publish SEO-optimized articles directly to your blog with one click.
What You'll Need
- A self-hosted WordPress site (WordPress.org, not WordPress.com)
- Administrator access to your WordPress dashboard
- The ability to install plugins
Setting Up the Integration
Step 1: Add WordPress Integration
- Navigate to Integrations in the Lovarank sidebar
- Click Create Integration
- Select WordPress from the options
Step 2: Enter Your Site Details
Enter your WordPress site URL:
- Use your full URL including
https:// - Example:
https://yourdomain.comorhttps://yourdomain.com/blog
Select your publishing behavior:
- Publish Immediately — Articles go live when you click Publish
- Save as Draft — Creates a draft for review in WordPress first
Step 3: Install the Lovarank Plugin
Click the Install Lovarank Plugin button. This opens your WordPress admin's plugin installation page.
- Click Install Now on the plugin page
- Wait for installation to complete
- Click Activate
- You'll be redirected to the plugin settings
Step 4: Connect with Integration Token
- Copy the Integration Token from the Lovarank setup screen
- Paste it into the "Integration Token" field in the WordPress plugin settings
- Click Save
The plugin establishes a secure connection between Lovarank and your site.
Step 5: Test and Complete
- Return to Lovarank and click Test Connection
- If successful, you'll see a confirmation message
- Optionally select a Default Author and Default Category for posts
- Click Create Integration
Publishing to WordPress
Once connected:
- Open any generated article in Lovarank
- Scroll to the Integrations section
- Find your WordPress integration
- Click Publish
Your article is sent to WordPress with:
- Full content and formatting
- Featured image
- Meta description
- SEO-friendly URL slug

SEO Plugin Compatibility
The integration works with popular WordPress SEO plugins:
- Yoast SEO — Meta descriptions populate automatically
- Rank Math — Full support for SEO fields
- All in One SEO — Compatible with meta description fields
If you don't have an SEO plugin, the meta description is stored in post meta.
Updating Published Articles
To update a live article:
- Edit the article in Lovarank
- Save your changes
- Click Republish on the WordPress integration
- Your changes push to the live post
The URL and publication date remain unchanged.
Managing the Integration
Changing Settings
To update your WordPress integration:
- Go to Integrations in Lovarank
- Click on your WordPress integration
- Modify settings as needed
- Save changes
Disconnecting
To remove the integration:
- Click the trash icon on your WordPress integration in Lovarank
- Optionally deactivate the Lovarank plugin in WordPress
Troubleshooting
Plugin Installation Failed
- Ensure you have administrator access
- Check your hosting allows plugin installation
- Try uploading the plugin manually via FTP
Connection Test Failed
- Verify your site URL is correct and accessible
- Check that the Lovarank plugin is activated
- Ensure your integration token is correctly entered
- Verify your site's SSL certificate is valid
Publishing Failed
- Confirm you have publishing permissions in WordPress
- Check your hosting doesn't block API requests
- Verify there's storage space for images
- Look for plugin conflicts in WordPress
Images Not Displaying
- Check WordPress media library upload limits
- Verify your theme supports featured images
- Ensure the image format is supported (JPG, PNG)
